Research Topic
Inspired by the anthropology of personhood and morality (What is human? What is good?), I have explored these concepts through fieldwork on civic movements and care work in India. Drawing on anthropological cases and theories, I¡¯m researching diverse possibilities for humans as mutually dependent beings.

Anthropology teaches us that what we consider ¡°normal¡± is not normal at all in other socio-material contexts. If such differences exist, things that seem unchangeable to us might also be changed by tinkering with the details. Let¡¯s explore human possibilities and try out new ideas!
