The Hiroshima Peace Platform (HPP), which includes the City of Hiroshima, Âé¶¹AV, Hiroshima City University, and the Hiroshima Peace Culture Foundation, has established the HPP Fellowship: a short-term residency program that invites overseas young scholars active in peace studies and peace research to conduct research activities at Âé¶¹AV or Hiroshima City University.
HPP will offer round-trip ticket from the international airport nearest to the participant¡¯s place of residence to Hiroshima Airport or Fukuoka Airport, and other expenses related to travel and accommodation.
Application Qualification
1. Young scholars who have completed their doctoral degree in peace studies or a related field within the previous 5 years in principle.
2. Applicants must be of excellent character and academic achievement.
3. Applicants who are recognized as having an intention and ability to publish research results related to their stay in Hiroshima in Japanese or English.
4. Must be working on one of the following research topics:
¡¡?Nuclear bomb related issues
¡¡?Memory of the A-bombing of Hiroshima and issues of inheritance
¡¡?Nuclear disarmament issues
¡¡?Various issues related to peace

Length of stay
The duration of the short-term stay program shall be no less than one month and no longer than three months in AY2025 (until the end of March 2026).
