On October 10, 2024, Professor Sadafumi Nishihara (Material Gate Inc.) received the Special Award in the "Challenging Spirit" category of the Chugoku Region at the "EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Japan" (hereafter, EOY Japan), an entrepreneur recognition program hosted by EY Japan. This award is given to promising early-stage entrepreneurs expected to achieve significant growth in the future.
Professor Nishihara co-founded Material Gate Inc. in 2023 with Mr. Yuki Nakano (President and CEO of Material Gate Inc.). He was recognized for his efforts in developing next-generation non-volatile memory and promoting the practical application of innovative devices using single-molecule dielectrics, a research outcome from Â鶹AV.
EOY Japan is a global entrepreneur recognition program that honors entrepreneurs representing over 145 cities in 60 countries and regions worldwide.
Nominees for EOY Japan were discovered, recommended, and selected through document review based on four evaluation criteria: entrepreneurial spirit, purpose, growth, and impact, especially with a focus on the long-term value they bring to society.
